Legal Status:
Marvel Acts Youth Organization is a Mutoko based youth organization whose main thrust is to disseminate information on life skills and other youth developmental issues to young people in Mutoko and other surrounding districts. It is registered as a non profit non-governmental charitable organisation under the Notorial Deed of Donations and Trust (Reg no. MA 422/2007) and registered in 2005 under the Zimbabwe Youth Council Act Chapter 25:19 as amended by Act no 16 of 1997(Reg no CB008/1005), It is also Registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe as an Arts organization by the National Arts Council Act 1985.

Background:
MAYO Zimbabwe is a Youth Service Trust that seek to contribute to the development of young people, eradication of poverty, injustice through advocacy for equality children, youths and women's rights. The Trust subscribes principles of the right to information, knowledge and skills on prevention of the spread of HIV and AIDS and promotion of healthy lifestyles, personal well-being, reproductive health and care among children and young people as prescribed by Zimbabwe National Youth Policy and Principles in the National HIV and AIDS Policy of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Human Rights forms the bases for our work and are relevant in all regimes and cultures as they are embedded in universally acknowledged norms and standards. MAYO’s intervention focuses on   HIV & AIDS education and awareness, children’s rights education, women's rights and empowerment, life skills,   training workshop on peace and leadership and prison awareness focusing on juveniles of rapes and drug abuses.

HIV & AIDS free generations where young people are peacefully united make informed decisions, exercise their rights and actively participate on issues that affect their lives.

Mission:
To mitigate the spread of HIV & AIDS and promoting behavior change among rural young people through peer education, campaigns, youth leadership training, sports tournaments and theatre and arts trainings, performance and festivals

Objectives:
·         To raise awareness and educate young people on HIV/AIDS prevention and reproductive health
·         To empower  young women to participate in development activities
·         To lobby government and other policy makers for effective and youth friendly policies.
·         To promote rural youth participation in development activities and in policy formulation.
·         To promote the use of theatre arts as a way of information dissemination.
·         To provide support and establish a fund to assist young people to engage in entrepreneurial activities.
·         To provide training on life skills, theatre arts, leadership.peace building and reproductive health peer counselling to young people to reach their full potential.
·         To create a platform for young people to articulate their concerns and come up with feasible solutions to their challenges.
